Robinhood Chain Ecosystem Guide: What’s Live, What’s Growing, and How to Bridge In

Rubic’s green frog mascot dressed as Robin Hood studies a map showing the Robinhood Chain ecosystem, with symbols for stocks, Pons and trading.
The ecosystem extends well beyond the launchpad

TL;DR: Robinhood Chain is Robinhood’s Ethereum layer-2, live on mainnet since July 1, 2026. Its distinctive feature is Stock Tokens, tokenized US stocks that trade around the clock beside memecoins. The busiest parts of the ecosystem are the Pons launchpad, Uniswap, the leverage venues Lighter and Arcus, and Morpho lending. Activity has cooled since early September, and Stock Tokens are not available to US persons or the same as owning shares.

What is Robinhood Chain?

Robinhood Chain is an Ethereum layer-2 network operated by Robinhood and built on Arbitrum Orbit. It opened to the public on July 1, 2026, uses ETH for gas and settles to Ethereum. Robinhood runs the sequencer, and there is no chain token.

The chain was designed for tokenized real-world assets, and Stock Tokens are the first big example. Around them, an open ecosystem of exchanges, launchpads, lending markets and leverage venues has formed quickly. This guide covers what is live, what it tells you and what to check before you use it.

What makes it different?

Tokenized versions of US stocks and ETFs that give price exposureLegal ownership of the shares
Backed by real shares in custody, according to RobinhoodCarrying voting or in-kind redemption today, which are planned
Tradable all day and night, including weekendsAvailable to US persons

Robinhood said on September 23 that total trading volume on the chain had passed $75B, with tokenized stocks a growing slice. It has also said that more than 72% of Stock Token volume happens outside normal market hours. That points to real demand for something a regular brokerage does not offer: stock exposure at 2am on a Saturday.

The legal side is not settled. AMC’s CEO publicly argued in September that Robinhood’s international Stock Tokens lack the voting and dividend rights the SEC’s new US exemption expects. Until Robinhood’s planned features ship, treat Stock Tokens as price exposure with issuer risk.

Stock tickers are becoming trading pairs

The most interesting change is in how markets get built. Instead of pairing every new token with ETH or a stablecoin, builders pair some tokens with stock tickers. In September you could find AI against NVDA, BOW against SPY and CLIPPY against MSFT.

A pair describes what a token trades against. It does not mean the token is backed by that stock, and a token with a ticker name is not automatically an official Stock Token. AI is a community token launched through the Long launchpad. It has a fee-funded community vault that holds tokenized stocks, but it cannot be redeemed for them. Plain versions exist too, such as a Circle stock token ($CRCL) that trades against USDG, the chain’s native dollar.

Pons and the launchpad economy

Pons is the default launchpad, and roughly four in five new tokens get created there. That makes it a good gauge of speculative activity on the whole chain.

The gauge has dropped. One analyst estimated in late September that Pons revenue was far below its early September peak and that daily launches had fallen sharply. That is an estimate rather than an official figure, but it fits the general cooling.

The other side is what launches through it. Pons has started to carry more than memecoins: its own token can now be used as collateral on Morpho to borrow USDG, and traders point to credit and stock-related projects graduating from it. Most day-to-day launches are still disposable, and Pons itself posted a scam warning on September 27, so treat every new token as unverified until you have checked it.

Where the trading happens

VenueWhat it doesWhy it matters
UniswapMain public exchangeHandles most swaps and earns the most fees on the chain
PonsLaunchpadWhere most new tokens are created
LighterLeverage trading inside Robinhood WalletA main driver of the rise in leveraged volume
ArcusStock Token spot and leverage, built with dYdX Labs and Robinhood CryptoListed PONS perps with up to 4x leverage on September 29
MorphoLendingWhere most of the chain’s credit lives, mostly in stablecoins

Leverage is the fastest-moving corner. DefiLlama’s chain page showed daily perps volume of about $282M on September 15 and about $1.1B on September 29, roughly four times higher. Daily numbers swing, and venue dashboards show smaller figures because the chain total adds several venues together. The direction still shows that more activity is shifting from simple spot swaps to leveraged products, which carry more risk.

Credit and collateral: still early

Lending on Robinhood Chain is real but mostly about stablecoins. Data from mid-September showed that Stock Tokens used as collateral on Morpho were only a tiny share of the market. The first non-stablecoin asset to gain traction as collateral was a native token, PONS, on September 24. Smaller credit projects such as Longbow exist, but they are early experiments.

The lesson: the idea of borrowing against tokenized stocks is still more promise than market. It may arrive later, but it is not the main story today.

The names everyone talks about

Every fast-growing chain ends up with a face, and Robinhood Chain already has two. $CASHCAT began as an internal working name at Robinhood and is now the chain’s unofficial mascot. $AI, tied to the Long launchpad, is one of its biggest names.

Big names attract copycats, so be careful. Lookalike tickers and fake contracts are common on any launchpad chain, and scams follow attention. Confirm the contract address from an official source, check who holds the supply, and never buy from a link someone sends you.

How to bridge into and out of Robinhood Chain

  1. Pick a route. Open Rubic, choose Robinhood Chain in the network selector, and compare the available options from four bridges and four deposit-based providers. Choose one that fits your amount and timing.
  2. Hold ETH for gas. Robinhood’s subsidy only covered eligible swaps inside its own wallet.
  3. Choose the asset. USDG is the native dollar.
  4. Test small. Send a small amount, confirm it arrived, then scale.

Where Rubic fits

Rubic aggregates DEXs, bridges, intent providers, deposit-based providers and privacy providers in one interface.

For Robinhood Chain, Rubic brings together eight providers: four bridges (Relay, Across, Symbiosis and deBridge) and four deposit-based providers (Baltex, ChangeNOW, Changelly and SimpleSwap). Its Best Rate Finder shows the expected output for the available routes into or out of the chain, so you can pick the one that fits.

Rubic’s Best Rate Finder compares routes to swap 100 USDC on Ethereum for USDG on Robinhood Chain, showing expected payouts and estimated times.

Bridges work through onchain contracts, while deposit-based providers take your deposit and send a payout. Speed and custody differ, so check the route before you confirm.

FAQ

What is Robinhood Chain?

Robinhood Chain is an Ethereum layer-2 operated by Robinhood. It launched on mainnet on July 1, 2026, uses ETH for gas and has no chain token. Its main product is Stock Tokens, alongside exchanges, a launchpad, lending and leverage trading.

Are Robinhood Stock Tokens real stocks?

No. They are tokenized versions of US stocks and ETFs that give price exposure. Robinhood says they are backed by real shares in custody, but they do not carry legal share ownership, and voting and in-kind redemption are planned rather than live.

Can US residents use Stock Tokens?

No. Robinhood says Stock Tokens may not be offered or sold to US persons. Rules can change, so check Robinhood’s current terms.

How do I bridge to Robinhood Chain?

Open Rubic, select Robinhood Chain as your destination and compare the available routes. Choose one that fits your amount and timing, keep some ETH for gas, and send a small test transaction first.

Not financial advice. Data comes from DefiLlama, Dune, DexScreener and public statements by Robinhood and ecosystem accounts, and it changes quickly.
